The photographer

I am Kyle Derby MacInnis, a photographer and software developer based in Calgary, Alberta. Mapletree Labs is the studio I work under: the name that carries the client work, the insurance, the licensing and the delivery. The photographs are mine, and so is the responsibility for them.

I work across environmental and industrial documentation, tourism and destination imagery, and survey work, with a particular interest in the natural landscape of western Canada. Alongside client work I make a personal body of fine-art photography, which is shown in the portfolio and available as prints. Being a developer as well means I deliver images in the formats the work needs rather than the formats a camera happens to produce.
